Who are Lions?

Lions are ordinary people, who volunteer and do extraordinary things to help others and support good causes. We Serve.
Lions Clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities and the world.  Our members love to make a difference and make things happen.

With more volunteers in more places than any other service organisation, Lions step forward to tackle local community challenges wherever they occur.

Budleigh Salterton Lions Club has members from Budleigh Salterton, East Budleigh, Otterton and Exmouth. We support a range of good causes, charities and projects in our local community.

We have fun by organising remarkable and memorable activities and  fundraising events. Every penny of the proceeds raised goes to these good causes.

We also donate to LCIF's (Lions Clubs International Foundation) Disaster Relief Fund. This helps ensure that families struggling to cope with disasters such as the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria will get the support they desperately need.

Because we are local, we serve the unique needs of our local communities in which we live. As we are global, we can address community challenges wherever they occur.

With over 1.4 million members worldwide, we have an opportunity to truly change our world.

Alongside a focus on local community service, Lions get involved with five Global Causes:  Diabetes, Vision, Hunger, Environment and Childhood Cancer
